We are sending our prayers to the survivors of childhood sexual abuse, the families, our

community and everyone in the Nation affected by the actions and criminal conviction of Ervin Charleyboy.

We are healing as a community. Together, we are overcoming the legacy of residential schools and colonization that has impacted each and every family.

Every member of our Nation deserves to be safe, loved and protected. Today, we acknowledge the pain and trauma, the courage to stand up, and the work ahead for all of us to wrap our girls, women, boys and all our people in safety and support.
